Program Duration:

• Master’s Degree: 2 to 3 years

• Doctoral Degree: 3 to 4 years

Program Themes:
Open to nearly all fields of study except certain factory-specific technologies, medicine, and clinical training.

Eligibility Criteria

• Pakistani nationality required

• Good health condition

• Applicants must have completed or be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

• Open to students from all academic fields except specified exclusions

How to Apply

1. Complete the MEXT Scholarship Application Form (original copy required)

2. Prepare the Research Plan document

3. Submit attested copies of degrees, transcripts, and graduation certificates or expected graduation certificates

4. Provide recommendation letters from university officials or employers

5. Include an abstract of theses if applicable

6. Submit all required documents without staples, clipped together on A4 paper

7. Send applications to the Embassy of Japan in Pakistan (Islamabad or Karachi) as per your test and interview location
