The CICOPS Scholarships Program 2026 offers international researchers from developing countries a unique opportunity to conduct collaborative research in Italy. Hosted by the University of Pavia and EDISU, this Fully Funded Scholarship is designed to strengthen international academic partnerships and advance development studies. Participants will engage in focused research projects with leading faculty while accessing top-tier resources at the University of Pavia. Eligibility Criteria

• Must have at least two years of teaching or international institutional experience

• Open to junior and senior academic staff from universities in Developing Countries

• Not eligible: Those currently enrolled in a doctoral or postgraduate course at an Italian university

• Must submit a research proposal aligning with a department at the University of Pavia

• Must confirm scholarship acceptance within 20 days of receiving the offer

How to Apply

1. Obtain a letter of invitation from a faculty member at the University of Pavia

2. Fill out the online application form

3. If unable to get an invitation letter, email cicops@unipv.it for a research proposal form

4. Submit the completed proposal; CICOPS will evaluate and connect you with the appropriate department

5. Await confirmation and proceed with further steps provided by the university
