The Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders (ADEL) Program 2025 is a prestigious platform that brings together bold, future-oriented young professionals from across the Atlantic Basin and beyond. Hosted in Rabat, Morocco by the Policy Center for the New South, this fully funded Leadership Program is designed to develop visionary leaders who are shaping policies, driving social innovation, and responding to global challenges with courage and clarity.

Now in its 13th edition, the ADEL Program has become a flagship Training Program for dynamic young influencers working across sectors—government, civil society, academia, and business. The initiative serves as a gateway to advanced policy dialogues, peer learning, and exposure to global leaders. It cultivates a network of changemakers committed to building equitable, resilient, and inclusive societies in the Atlantic space and beyond.

Structured around interactive leadership training and direct participation in the Atlantic Dialogues Conference, the program allows selected participants to share their visions and expertise on pressing transatlantic and global issues. From regional security and economic development to social equity and technological innovation, ADEL equips participants with the knowledge, tools, and connections to make a lasting impact.

This fully immersive program includes two key phases: a five-day leadership training and a three-day global conference. During the training week, participants will engage in peer-to-peer dialogue, capacity-building exercises, and policy simulations. They will learn from high-level speakers, collaborate on team projects, and refine their leadership profiles through personalized coaching and strategic feedback.

The program culminates in the Atlantic Dialogues Conference, where emerging leaders join senior decision-makers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and media representatives from around the world. This exchange across generations and sectors deepens the policy conversation and reinforces the importance of youth-led development in the Atlantic and global context.

Eligibility Criteria

The Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders Program 2025 is open to a diverse and inclusive pool of applicants who meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Applicants must be between 25 and 35 years of age at the time of application

  • Must hold citizenship of countries in Africa, North America, South America, Central America, Europe, or the Caribbean

  • Priority is given to citizens and residents of countries bordering the Atlantic Basin

  • Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English, both written and spoken

  • Must be available to fully participate in all aspects of the program from December 7 to 13, 2025

  • Proven track record of leadership, community engagement, policy work, or innovative projects

  • Ability to articulate a clear vision for change and to collaborate in diverse, multicultural environments

Candidates from traditionally underrepresented sectors and backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply. The selection committee values diversity in professional experience, regional representation, and gender balance.


How to Apply

To apply for the ADEL 2025 Program, applicants must complete the following steps through the official application portal of the Policy Center for the New South:

  1. Visit the ADEL application webpage via the official Policy Center website.

  2. Fill in the online application form with personal, academic, and professional information.

  3. Submit a 250-word personal statement (in English) addressing your professional journey, leadership philosophy, and what you hope to gain from the program.

  4. Upload a 1-minute YouTube video answering four core questions:

    • Who are you?

    • What motivates your work?

    • What impact are you making?

    • How will you contribute to and benefit from ADEL?

  5. Attach a PDF version of your resume or CV (maximum 2 pages) summarizing relevant qualifications and experiences.

  6. Review your application carefully and submit it by the official deadline.

Applicants should ensure their YouTube video link is accessible and unlisted to protect privacy. Make sure all submitted materials reflect originality, leadership potential, and alignment with the program’s goals.

This is a competitive Leadership Program, and only a limited number of applicants will be selected. It is recommended that candidates start their applications early and allow time to craft thoughtful responses and videos. Selection announcements are expected by mid-August 2025.
